TeamSpeak is our public communicative chat between players and staff. There are many channels for you and your friends to talk on and have fun! It can be a great hassle typing so many words when playing with your friends. Remember that time your friend was going to die and you went to type, 'Watch out!' but you were too late and he died, leaving you to the gruesome beast? Oh ya, I sure do remember. But now with AncientRPG's TeamSpeak you can experience the server in an even better way possible. (1) First thing's first... download TeamSpeak! (If already downloaded onto your computer, skip to step 2.) Here is the link for their website http://www.teamspeak.com. Once you've clicked on the link you're going to press the bright orange FREE DOWNLOAD button, it's hard to miss but if you can't find it, it's on the black bar resting in the middle of the page. After downloading the installer you will be brought to a page where you select the correct installer for your computer type ex: Windows, Mac, OS X, Linux, Android, IOS... etc. After you click the black download bar across from your computer type, in your downloads should be the installer. After it is done downloading simply double click on that installer and follow the wizard set-up. (2) After downloading the TeamSpeak client, it will usually place a 'Shortcut' to the client so just double click and bam, It launches up! (3) After opening the launcher you're going to be shown a microphone setup wizard (If not read Sub-Step 3). Now as I have said above, if you do not have a WORKING microphone, simply read through the set-up to make sure you don't miss anything non-microphone related! DO NOT SKIP SET-UP WIZARD! (3.a) If you do not see the set-up wizard it will most likely pop up with the client but it'll say "Choose your nickname" with a blank bar below. If that happens press 'cancel' below the small box and on the top of TeamSpeak click settings>options>capture. Now you will see a Capture Device: Default box left click on the box and select your computer's, or store-bought, microphone. After, you can decide if you want Continuous Transmission where your voice and or any sound in the background that your microphone picks up, will sound through your microphone and play to all those in your channel. Voice Activation is when a sound in your microphone's range, ex. your voice or your mouse falling off of your desk, will trigger the transmission through your mic to all those in your current channel. There is also a PUSH TO TALK option where you press a hold a certain key to talk. After your edit to your wishes simply press APPLY and click OK. Bam! There is your microphone. (4) When the set-up wizard is complete you will finally be taken to the TeamSpeak 'Home Page.' To actually connect to the server, go up to the top left corner of the launcher, press CONNECTIONS and click CONNECT (5) It will now bring up the Connect window! In the bar under SERVER ADDRESS, you will want to manually type and or copy and paste the server address which is mc.ancientrpg.net Now under the tab NICKNAME place your desired nickname. Note: The server DOES NOT need a password! No need to put anything in the bar, just leave it blank. After you have done those steps, simply press connect! You will now be connected to the server! Now there are many channels to choose from, usually you and your friends would join an unoccupied channel! Now please DO NOT join the TeamSpeak unless you are speaking with someone. If you are talking to someone and need to go somewhere for a short while, scroll to the top and join the AFK channel. Otherwise there is no need for you to be on the TeamSpeak and eventually, someone with channel powers will probably kick you if you're in there too long AFK or doing nothing. NOTE: If you get a working microphone, later on, either read step 3 again or just go to OPTIONS look down to the left side until you find CAPTURE and edit the correct changes. That's about it, everyone! Hope this helped some of you all out. Now if you have any further questions and or suggestions about this Team Speak topic, comment below. Or if you wish to talk privately for whatever reason about it, just message me (Madi) on the forums or PM me on the server! (There have been recent edits to TeamSpeaks installer, I have edited this post to fit those new applications.) Have fun talking and playing! ~ Madi This post was made by Madi, a staff member on AncientRPG.net!
